My first scientific paper with the title Strip Shredded Document Reconstruction using Optical Character Recognition has been accepted at the 4th International Conference on Imaging for Crime Detection and Prevention (ICDP-11).

Within the paper, the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) method originally developed for ancient manuscripts from [1], was applied and evaluated in the context of strip shredded documents. The results show that the OCR method is capable to reconstruct cut letters and thus it is possible to reassemble shredded paper stripes.
